Yes! Subscribe once and the subscription automatically syncs via the App Store across all devices with the same Apple ID (iPhone, iPad, and Mac). The iOS app unlocks the Director features, and you get full access to the macOS AngleDrift-Producer app.

Yes! On macOS, you can use different Apple IDs for iCloud vs App Store purchases. Subscribe on your iPhone with your personal Apple ID, then on Mac go to:

System Settings → Apple Account → Media & Purchases → Sign in with personal Apple ID

Your Mac will keep using your work Apple ID for iCloud (files, email, calendar) but use your personal Apple ID for App Store purchases.

You can still export sessions that were recorded while you had an active subscription—those remain exportable forever. Future sessions will be limited to the free tier of the AngleDrift iOS app. No data is deleted. Apple controls the mechanics of funding and timing. Generally, when you cancel thru Apple, your subscription will stop auto-renewing. You keep access to whatever you paid for until the current billing cycle ends (e.g., end of the month or week you paid for). Apple doesn’t automatically prorate or refund the unused time. There’s no built-in pro-rata refund on App Store subscriptions if you cancel mid-term.

No! Drifters don't need a subscription or a shared Apple ID—the iOS app is free for everyone. Friends, teammates, or clients can join your session with their own devices and Apple IDs. They can record video and save to their Photos app. Only the Director needs a subscription to process and export the final multi-angle video.

Yes! Create a Picture-in-Picture video and add the portrait version to your Photos app on your Mac. Then launch the Instagram Edits app on your iPhone, tap the + button and select Gallery. Select the portrait video you just added and continue to edit the project as desired.
