Welcome to AngleDrift. By downloading, accessing, or using our iOS and macOS applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using AngleDrift, you accept and agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our applications.

These terms apply to all users, including those on the free tier and paid subscription plans.

2. Description of Service

AngleDrift provides tools for recording, synchronizing, and editing multi-angle videos on iOS and macOS devices. The service includes:

AngleDrift (iOS): Camera capture app with Director and Drifter roles for multi-device recording
AngleDrift Producer (macOS): Professional editing and processing application for creating synchronized multi-angle videos
WiFi Direct Sync: Frame-accurate synchronization between multiple devices

3. User Responsibilities

When using AngleDrift, you agree to:

Use the service only for lawful purposes
Respect the intellectual property rights of others when recording and sharing content
Obtain necessary permissions when recording people, private property, or copyrighted material
Not use the app to record illegal activities or violate others' privacy
Ensure you have the right to share any content you export or distribute
Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations regarding recording and privacy

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to videos and content you create using AngleDrift. We do not claim any rights to your videos.

Our Software: AngleDrift, including all code, design, features, and documentation, is owned by AngleDrift and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the applications
Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on our software
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
Distribute, sell, or transfer the software to third parties

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Tier: AngleDrift for iOS is free to download and use with Drifter role functionality. No payment is required for basic recording features.

Paid Subscription: AngleDrift Director features (iOS) and Producer app (macOS) require a paid subscription at $9.99/month. Subscription terms:

7-Day Free Trial: New subscribers receive a 7-day trial period with full access to all features
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew monthly unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
Payment: Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and subject to Apple's terms
Cancellation: You may cancel anytime through your Apple ID subscription settings
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple per their App Store refund policy
Family Sharing: Subscriptions can be shared with up to 6 family members via Apple Family Sharing

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Price changes do not affect active subscriptions until renewal.

6. Device and System Requirements

AngleDrift requires compatible iOS and macOS devices. You are responsible for:

Maintaining compatible hardware and operating system versions
Ensuring sufficient storage space for video files
Providing your own internet connection for updates and analytics (if enabled)
Securing your devices with passcodes and device encryption

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

AngleDrift is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

Accuracy, reliability, or quality of the synchronization features
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Compatibility with all devices or future operating system versions
Preservation of your video files (you should maintain backups)

We strive to provide a high-quality product, but we do not guarantee that AngleDrift will meet all your requirements or be completely bug-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AngleDrift and its developers shall not be liable for any:

Loss of data, including videos, projects, or settings
Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your device or data

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of AngleDrift is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

All videos are stored locally on your devices
We do not collect personally identifiable information
Anonymous usage analytics help us improve the app
No account or login is required

10. Updates and Modifications

We may update AngleDrift from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. Updates may be:

Provided automatically through the App Store
Required for continued use of certain features
Subject to these Terms of Use or updated terms

We reserve the right to discontinue or modify features with reasonable notice to users.

11. Third-Party Services

AngleDrift may integrate with third-party services (such as analytics providers). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to AngleDrift if you:

Violate these Terms of Use
Use the app for illegal or harmful purposes
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the software

You may stop using AngleDrift at any time. Canceling your subscription does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email (if provided). Continued use of AngleDrift after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of AngleDrift shall be resolved through:

Good faith negotiation between parties
Binding arbitration if negotiation fails
The courts of the jurisdiction where AngleDrift is registered (if arbitration is unavailable)

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
